Players to watch out:

Gisele Ishimwe

The 19-year-old all-rounder, in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), from 60 outings, has racked up 1057 runs, including the highest of 114*, and has been handy with the ball as well, taking 13 wickets from 17 innings. In her only outing this competition, striking at 189.47, Gisele notched up a 38-ball 72 and can be counted on to lead the scoring.

Marie Tumukunde

The 20-year-old leg-spinner emerging through the Under-19 ranks, in 3 T20Is, has taken 4 wickets, with the best being 2/12, and maintained an economy rate of 5.20. Marie, with a hat-trick in her only over in the season opener, provided Hampshire with a massive edge, dismissing the middle order. She’ll look to carry forward with this form.

Belyse Murekatete

The 20-year-old all-rounder has scalped 36 wickets from as many bowling outings, averaging 12.47 and maintaining an economy rate of 4.50, while also chipping in 154 runs from 27 batting innings. Cynthia Uwera

The 20-year-old off-spinner is an exciting talent. In the previous year’s competition, she bagged just one wicket from three outings. However, in the T20 leg, she bagged five wickets from as many games. In the ongoing T10 edition, Cynthia has sent down just one over, returning figures of 1/4. She’ll be backed to make the most of this start.

Pitch:

The 22-yard strip at Gahanga International Cricket Stadium pleases the bowlers, particularly the pacers, and poses challenges for the batters. The pace-friendly conditions result in an average score in the 60s, demanding discipline from batters to post a competitive total.

Weather:

The rain on the radar throughout the match duration could play spoilsport, potentially resulting in a washout if the skies don’t clear. The temperature is forecasted to hover around 25°C, with light winds and a humidity level of 69%.
