Players to watch out:

Vrinda Dinesh

The 22-year-old opening batter will be vital for the team’s success in this series. Vrinda has been among the runs in the lead-up to the ‘A’ series, amassing 211 runs from 7 outings in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy. Notably, she scored her runs at a strike rate of 154.01 and will be banked on to provide the team with a perfect start with the bat.

Kashvee Gautam

The 20-year-old bowling all-rounder is in stellar form and will be relied upon heavily. In 7 outings during the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, Kashvee chipped in scoring 99 runs and picking up 12 wickets at an average of 9.33 and an economy rate of 4.14. She further impressed in North Zone’s clash against North East, registering a hat-trick en route to a five-wicket haul (5/8).

Grace Scrivens

The 20-year-old batting all-rounder earlier this year led an unbeaten England U19 to the Final of the T20 World Cup. On a personal level, she finished as England’s leading run-scorer and 2nd overall with 293 runs from 7 outings, while also claiming 9 wickets in 6 outings. Grace has since been involved in the senior national set-up, and her progress will be watched closely.

Charlie Dean

The 22-year-old bowling all-rounder has accumulated 68 wickets from 41 internationals across formats and contributed 269 runs with the bat. With her crafty off-spin, Charlie is expected to excel on the Wankhede wicket. More importantly, her batting maturity is something to keep an eye on during this series.

Pitch:

Wankhede dishes out a balanced center wicket with a slight advantage for bowlers over batters, as evidenced by a modest average score of 111 at the venue. Spin-friendly conditions will see spinners hold an advantage on the track.

Weather:

The conditions at Wankhede are expected to be pleasant for the game, with mostly cloudy skies and a low chance of rain. The temperature is forecasted to hover around 29°C, with light winds and humidity of 61%.
