A series of ‘come-and-try day’ to be organized by Tewantin-Noosa Cricket Club, Australia

Tewantin-Noosa’s Sunshine Coast Women’s Twenty20, Australia, is organizing a series of ‘come-and-try’ day for girls and women of 14 years of age or over in the coming weeks. Seeing the rise in the female participation in cricket in Australia over recent years including the 14 per cent increase in 2018-19, the club invites participation from women of all walks of life irrespective of the fact that whether they have played cricket before or are novice to the game.

The first ‘come-and-try’ day will be held on August 11 followed by two more sessions on August 15 and September 8. Experienced coaches, current Tewanti-Noosa Cricket Club’s women players and team mentor Patsy Fayne will guide the participants to master their cricketing skills.

Apart from this, the Sunshine Coast Cricket Association is also organizing skill-development sessions for young girls aged between 5 to 13 years.
