K-Man Falcons squad for FairBreak Invitational 2023 Announced

FairBreak Invitational, a privately run, Twenty20 (T20) tournament for women cricketers by FairBreak Global, aims of improving differences in pay, quality of play, and opportunity between men and women in cricket. The inaugural edition of the tournament was played in 2022 May and the tournament was straightaway off to a successful launch.

The tournament returns home, to Hong Kong, for the upcoming, 2nd edition, following its Dubai launch last year due to Covid restrictions at home. Falcons, one of the 6 participating teams has unveiled their team for the upcoming 2nd edition that’ll be played in April in Hong Kong from the 3rd to the 16th of the month.

The K-Man Falcons squad while sees a few big names from international cricket in Suzie Bates, Chamari Athapaththu, Marizanne Kapp, and Danni Wyatt as part of their unit, Cricket West Indies’ Britney Cooper is the only one to miss out on the Falcons squads from last years edition.

With broadcast to 141 territories and a global viewing audience of an estimate of between 30-40 million, the tournament resulted in a massive hit in its inaugural edition. Adding to the tournament’s success and its establishment as a fan favorite in no time is the fact that the season witnessed 90 players take part from as many as 35 countries.

Burji Shroff, chairman of Cricket Hong Kong (CHK) said, “In light of the increase in opportunities for female players around the world and in consultation with players, partners, and sponsors, we have decided to move the dates of the Fair break Invitational 2023 from March to April 2023. This time period will enable us to continue to host a world-class event that better ensures the participation of players from across the world.”
