The third and final ODI between Ireland and Pakistan will be played on November 9 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The game will begin at 10.30 AM IST (10 AM LOCAL). Pakistan have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.

In the second ODI, Pakistan made light work of the run chase as they overhauled the target of 195 in 32.4 overs with nine wickets in hand. Batting first, Ireland were bundled out for 194 in 47.2 overs, thanks to Nasra Sandhu and Ghulam Fatima, who scalped three wickets apiece. Arlene Kelly top-scored for the visitors with 34 runs. In reply, Pakistan’s Sidra Ameen and captain Bismah Maroof smashed delectable half-centuries to see their side home. Eimear Richardson was the lone wicket-taker for Ireland.

Players to watch

Eimear Richardson: 

The right-handed middle-order batter and right-arm off-spinner made valuable contributions with bat and ball in the second ODI against Pakistan. She registered 23 off 22, hitting three boundaries, and with the ball, claimed 34/1 in five overs, being the only wicket-taker for the team.

Arlene Kelly: 

The Irish all-rounder top-scored in the second ODI against Pakistan. Batting at number nine, the right-handed batter scored 34 off 45, including a couple of boundaries. She stitched a crucial 60-run partnership with wicket-keeper Mary Waldron for the eighth wicket. With the ball, the right-arm seamer bowled 4.4 overs and conceded 24 runs.

Sidra Ameen: 

Picking up from where she had left in the first ODI, the right-handed opening batter of Pakistan mustered an unbeaten 91 off 93 in the second ODI against Ireland to steer her side to a comfortable nine-wicket win. She muscled a dozen boundaries in her match-winning innings. With captain Bismah Maroof, she put together 136 runs for the second wicket. Ameen clinched the player of the match award for her brilliant batting effort.

Ghulam Fatima: 

The wily right-arm leg-spinner of Pakistan was one of the most successful bowlers for her side in the second ODI against Ireland. She scalped 32/3 in 10 overs and was the second-most economical bowler. She bowled well in the middle phase of the innings and the back 10 overs.

Pitch

The venue will host the third and last match of the ODI series. In the previous game, close to 400 runs were scored, and 11 wickets fell in the process. The conditions here look good for batting. The ball is expected to come nicely onto the bat. A quick outfield will also help the batters.

Weather

The weather is expected to be partly sunny and not as warm. A thunderstorm in spots in the afternoon could be on the cards. The highest temperature attained during the day will be 25 degrees Celsius. There will be a 44 percent cloud cover and a 40 percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the east-northeast.
