The seventh match of the Pondicherry Women’s T10 League will be played between Angels and Queens on July 7 at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry. Both the teams have won their last matches. While Queens beat Princess, Angels pipped Lionesses.

Players to watch

Janaki R Ramasamy: 

The right arm speedster from Angels wreaked havoc with the ball as she scalped 3/3 in two overs. She opened the bowling with Srimeera Chandrasekaran and bowled well with the new ball. Apart from being the most successful bowler for her team, she was also the most economical bowler.

Ramdas Sandhya Mounika: 

The right-handed opening batter from Angels top scored with an unbeaten 36 off 28 balls, including four boundaries in her last match against Lionesses. She set the foundation and steered her team to a competitive score of 75 in 10 overs. She played some good looking shots and ran well between the wickets.

Roshini Natarajan Rajasekaran: 

The right-handed opening batter of Queens packed a punch with 36 runs off 27 balls, including four boundaries and a six in her last outing against Princess. She held the innings and batted right through to the penultimate ball of the innings. She also opened the bowling and bowled a couple of overs, conceding nine runs.

Reena Thirugnanam:

The right arm medium pace bowler from Queens accounted for 9/1 in two overs in her last appearance against the Princess. She was one of the most economical bowlers in the team. She was consistent with her lines and lengths not allowing the batters to score freely. Apart from her bowling, she scored 16 runs off 21 balls, opening the batting.

Pitch

This will be the seventh match of the tournament at the venue. Out of the six matches that were played till July 6, the teams batting first have won five and the team batting second has won one. The average first innings score is 72 and the average second innings score is 56. Batting in the first innings has looked to be easier than in the second innings. The expected cloudy conditions could assist the bowlers.
