Laura Wolvaardt moves 2 Spot Up, Mithali Raj moves 2 Down in Latest ICC ODI Rankings

The 2022 Women’s World Cup has been a spectacle so far. The women are stepping up their game and performing extremely well. A bunch of players like Laura Wolvaardt, Meg Lanning are having an amazing run with the bat scoring big runs every single match. Even the bowling has been stunning with South Africa bowlers Shabnim Ismail, Marizanne Kapp bringing the pick of the bowlers.

The updated ICC Women’s rankings has rewarded all the above players for their exceptional performance in the ongoing world cup. Laura Wolvaardt who broke into the top 10 last week now sees herself jump 2 spots from No.5 to No.3 after showcasing her batting proof with 4 back-to-back fifties. Beth Mooney moves to the 2nd Spot as she finished 2 matches for Australia against India and South Africa.

Mithali Raj sees a drop in 2 spots from No.7 to No.9 due to her lack of form in the 2022 World Cup. Tammy Beaumont also sees a drop as she’s ranked No.7. Harmanpreet Kaur who’s having a great world cup has jumped 3 spots to No.15 from No.18. The Australian top 4 are all in the top 6 with Alyssa Healy staying at No.1, Rachael Haynes at No.6, Captain Meg Lanning at No.4, and Beth Mooney at No.2 showcasing how dominant the Aussie batters are.

The South African fast bowling trio sees a nice jump as Shabnim Ismail, Marizanne Kapp, and Ayabonga Khaka are 4th, 5th, and 6th in the updated Bowler rankings. Sophie Ecclestone who made No.1 earlier in the tournament stays intact. Indian Speedster, Jhulan Goswami drops one spot to No.7.

The all-rounder category continues to be dominated by Ellyse Perry at No.1. Ashleigh Gardener moves up to No.6 with the rest staying in the same.
