The 43rd match of the seventh edition of Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) will be played between Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes at Harrup Park in Mackay on November 13. While Adelaide Strikers have won four out of their nine matches, Hobart Hurricanes have been victorious in three out of their 11 games.

Players to watch out for

Katie Mack:

She was the player of the match in the last game which Adelaide Strikers played against Sydney Sixers. The right hand opening bat led the run chase muscling a 67 not out off 55 balls. She plundered six boundaries during her innings. She steered her team to a comprehensive eight wicket win as she helped them chase down 143 runs in 18.5 overs.

Darcie Brown:

The right-arm quick was the most successful bowler for Adelaide Strikers in their last outing against Sydney Sixers. She claimed 2-34 in her four overs. She bowled disciplined lines and lengths and kept the batters at bay.

Ruth Johnston:

The right-hand top-scored for Hobart Hurricanes in their last match against Perth Scorchers. She mustered 38 runs off 40 balls, including three boundaries and two sixes. She is quite flexible with her batting order as she can open the batting as well as come in the middle order. Apart from her batting, she is more than handy with the ball. She is a right-arm seamer.

Tayla Vlaeminck:

This right-arm seamer bowls at express pace and can trouble any batter with her lethal bouncers. She was the pick of the bowlers for Hobart Hurricanes in their last match against Perth Scorchers. She scalped 3-21 in her four overs. She was also the most economical bowler in that match.

Weather

The weather is expected to be partly sunny in the first half of the match. The average temperature will drop 30 degrees Celsius in the afternoon (local) to 21 degrees Celsius in the evening (local). There is no chance of rain. Expect a full game of cricket.

Pitch

This will be the first match of the season that will be played at Harrup Park in Mackay. Since the wicket will be fresh, expect loads of runs being scored by both teams. The bowlers may have some assistance as the wicket will be nice and hard.
