The 2021 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier will be played from October 18 to October 25 (till October 26 as per IST) among four teams, namely, Argentina, Brazil, Canada and United States.
Mexico will be hosting the tournament. A total of 12 matches will be played, with each team playing the other in a round-robin format. The team that will top the points table in this competition will progress to the 2022 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament. Out of the four teams, two teams, namely, Argentina and Brazil will compete in an ICC women’s event for the first time since 2012. In the last ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier which was played in United States in 2019, the hosts qualified defeating Canada, which was the only other team to feature in the tournament.
