Jharkhand and Railways secure their places in the semi-final beating Karnataka and Odisha

The senior women’s one-day tournament saw four teams fight in 2 matches to qualify for the semi-finals.

Jharkhand vs Karnataka – Quarter Finals 1

Jharkhand took on Karnataka in the first quarter-final match. Batting first, Jharkhand posted 254/6 in 50 overs, and Karnataka was bowled out for 234 in 46 overs, losing the match by 20 runs. The top performers in the match were Indrani Roy (86 runs) and Ashwani Kumari (4-26 in 7 overs) from Jharkhand and Shubha Sateesh (68 runs) and Akansha Kohli (2-52 in 9 overs) from Karnataka.

Railways vs Odisha – Quarter Finals 2

Railways locked horns with Odisha in the second quarter-final match. Batting first, Railways put together 274/7 in 50 overs. Odisha’s efforts chasing with the bat failed as they were restricted to 209/6 in 50 overs. The top performers of the match were M D Thirushkamini (70 runs) and Dayalan Hemalatha (4-62 in 9 overs) from Railways and Madhusmita Behera (40 runs) and Rameswari Naik (2-50 in 7 overs) from Odisha.
