Hamari ladkiyon mein bahut Dum hai : tweets Virender Sehwag

The Indian cricket team has been consistently winning with their brilliant performance in the T20 World cup in Australia with its fourth successive win at the Junction Oval in Melbourne came on Saturday 29th Feb 2020. This time the Indian team had a massive 7 wicket win against Sri Lanka and created an all-win record in the tournament so far. The women in blue are the first ones to qualify for the semi-final spot in the competition. All the four semi-finalists will play a double-header on 5th March 2020.

India performed brilliantly in the opening match for a 17 run win against host and defending champions Australia, followed by a victory over Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. Team India showed a class apart performance in the match against Sri Lanka by restricting them to 113 for 9. Left-arm spinner Radha Yadav took 4 for 23 to scare the opponents.

India effortlessly chased the target in less than 15 overs. Shafali Verma did not disappoint her fans and fearlessly scored 47 in 34 balls to help India win the match.

Former Indian Captain Virender Sehwag was all-praises for the Women in Blue and their victory as he tweeted,

“Hamari ladkiyon mein bahut Dum hain” (our girls have it in them).

He praised the performances of both Radha and Shafali in the game and wished India ahead of their big semi-final clash. Radha was adjudged the player of the match. Shafali has been the woman of the match on two occasions (against Bangladesh and New Zealand in this World Cup).

India is at the top of Group A charts with 8 points from 4 matches. Australia and New Zealand are fighting for second place in Group A. Both have 4 points from 2 matches but team Australia is ahead due to a better net run rate. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are out of question with 3 defeats and no win.

In the other group, South Africa and England are leading with 2 wins each. Both West Indies and Pakistan have 1 win each. While newcomers Thailand has lost all of their 3 games played.
