The fourth match of the 2021 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier will be played on October 20 (12.30 am IST) between Canada and the United States at Reforma Athletic Club, Naucalpan, Mexico. Both the teams have won their first match against Argentina and Brazil respectively.

Players to watch out for

Divya Saxena:

The right-hand opening bat, who has also represented Kenya, was the top run-scorer in the first match against Argentina. She scored run a ball 70 and helped her side to post a competitive total of 134-3 in 20 overs.

Saniya Zia:

The right-arm seamer, who opened the bowling for Canada scalped 3-9 in her four overs. She was the pick of the bowlers. She bowled as many as 19 dot balls out of 24.

Sindhu Sriharsha:

The captain of the United States led the run chase scoring an unbeaten 25. The right-hand top-order bat will be the key to the team’s success in this tournament.

Tara Norris:

The left-arm quick had a decent outing against Brazil in the first match. She picked up 2-5 in her four overs. She bowled a couple of maiden overs in her spell.

There could be a bleak chance of rain during the course of the match. There is a 51% chance of precipitation during the first half of the game with 70% cloud cover and 24% chance of precipitation in the later half with 45% cloud cover. The temperature is expected to drop from 23 degrees Celsius in the afternoon (CST) to 16 degrees Celsius in the evening (CST).


Seamers have dominated the show picking up the majority of the wickets. The pitch is good for batting as well, provided the batters spend some time at the crease and get used to the conditions. So far, three matches have been played and the teams batting second have won two out of the three games.
