Pakistan Women head into the second T20I against Zimbabwe Women with plenty of confidence after a dominant performance in the series opener at Karachi. The hosts completely outplayed Zimbabwe in every department, registering a massive 153-run victory after posting a record-breaking 237/5 in 20 overs. The batting unit looked fearless, the bowlers stayed disciplined, and the overall balance of the side showed why Pakistan are building strong momentum ahead of the upcoming international assignments. As the series now moves into its second game, all eyes will once again be on a few key Pakistan stars who could shape the contest with both experience and match-winning ability. Among them, Muneeba Ali, Ayesha Zafar, and Captain Fatima Sana stand out as the biggest players to watch.

Ayesha Zafar
The spotlight will naturally remain on Ayesha Zafar after her sensational innings in the first T20I. The experienced top-order batter produced one of the finest knocks ever seen in Pakistan women’s cricket, smashing an unbeaten 102 off just 47 deliveries. Her innings included 15 boundaries and two sixes, and she maintained a breathtaking strike rate above 217. Her century was also Pakistan Women’s highest individual T20I score in recent times and helped the team register their highest-ever Women’s T20I total. Ayesha has scored 418 runs in 29 innings in WT20Is. Ayesha now enters the second T20I with enormous confidence and momentum, making her the biggest threat for Zimbabwe once again.
Muneeba Ali
Another player who could make a major impact despite a quiet first game is Muneeba Ali. The left-handed opener was dismissed for just two runs in the opening T20I after edging Nomvelo Sibanda early in the innings, but Muneeba remains one of Pakistan’s most dependable batters in white-ball cricket. Her ability to attack inside the powerplay while also anchoring the innings makes her extremely valuable at the top. Muneeba Ali has scored 1473 runs in 82 innings in WT20Is. Importantly, she already has 2 T20I centuries and 2 half-centuries to her name and remains one of the most experienced players in the squad. If she gets through the early overs in the second T20I, Zimbabwe’s bowling attack could once again face a very long evening.
Fatima Sana
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana will also be one of the key players to watch because of the all-round value she brings to the side. Although she did not need to do much with the bat in the first T20I, she still provided an excellent finishing touch with an unbeaten 21 off just 13 balls, ensuring Pakistan crossed the 230-run mark comfortably. More importantly, Fatima once again showed her impact with the ball, picking up three crucial wickets (3/7) during Zimbabwe’s collapse. Her leadership has also been praised consistently in recent months, especially during Pakistan’s performances against stronger opposition earlier this year. She has picked up 46 wickets and scored 584 runs. If Pakistan are to seal the T20I series dominantly, Fatima Sana’s presence with both bat and ball will once again be central to their plans.
