2nd ODI: Pakistan Women vs Zimbabwe Women – Squads, Preview and Live Streaming Details

The National Stadium in Karachi will host the second One-Day International (ODI) between Pakistan and Zimbabwe’s women’s teams tomorrow. The hosts hope to build on their strong start. Pakistan scored an incredible 330/5 in their opening match on Monday, putting on a clinical display. The star was Sadaf Shamas, who was just two runs shy of a century. Sidra Amin’s 67 and Najiha Alvi’s lightning-fast 56 put the total well out of reach. Despite a valiant 53 by Beloved Biza and a brilliant three-wicket haul by Precious Marange, Zimbabwe was unable to keep up and ultimately lost by 168 runs for 162.

Zimbabwe must figure out a method to get past Pakistan’s top order much sooner if they are to tie the series tomorrow. The rest of the bowling unit struggled to stop the flow of runs on a level Karachi track, despite Marange’s effectiveness in the opening game. In order to avoid the middle order being exposed too soon to Pakistan’s disciplined spin duo of Syeda Aroob Shah and Nashra Sandhu, who shared three wickets in the opener, the visitors need a strong foundation from the openers rather than just isolated cameos.

Pakistan, on the other hand, will probably continue to use the same strategy that worked for them: a calm beginning followed by a vigorous acceleration in the last ten overs. Tasmia Rubab’s economical spell of 2/21 kept the pressure high throughout the chase, and Captain Fatima Sana will be happy with how her bowlers shared the load. As Zimbabwe struggles to survive the three-match series, another high-scoring match may be in store because the pitch is predicted to remain batting-friendly.

Tasmia Rubab

She finished the game with an exceptionally low economy rate of 2.73 after taking two wickets for just 21 runs in 7.4 overs. Pitch Report:

The surface at the National Stadium is traditionally a batter’s paradise, characterized by consistent pace and bounce that allows for high-scoring encounters. In shorter formats like T20s, it has historically seen average first-inning scores between 167 and 180, though it offers a balanced contest where the team chasing has a slight statistical edge. While pacers may find some early swing, the track is known to become “low and slow” as the match progresses, eventually providing significant assistance to spinners who can exploit the dry patches and cracks

Weather Report:

Expect a sunny day in Karachi tomorrow with a high temperature of 35°C and a low of 27°C. There is a 0% chance of rain during both the day and night, with humidity levels around 53% and a west wind blowing at 16 mph
