In the 11th match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women defeated Delhi Capitals Women by 8 wickets in a well-controlled encounter at the Dr DY Patil Stadium. A disciplined bowling effort followed by a composed chase led by Smriti Mandhana ensured a comfortable win for RCB.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women won the toss and elected to field first, a decision that paid rich dividends as they restricted Delhi Capitals Women to 166 in 20 overs. Delhi’s start was no less than a disaster scoreboard at 10/4, did put a lot of pressure on the team. Although Shafali Verma anchored the innings, she played aggressively at the top, but regular wickets at the other end prevented them from building sustained momentum. RCB bowlers-maintained pressure through the middle overs, picking up key wickets at crucial intervals.
Shafali Verma was the standout performer for Delhi with a fluent half-century, while Lucy Hamilton and Sneh Rana added valuable runs lower down the order to push the total to a competitive score. However, Delhi failed to capitalise fully in the death overs due to disciplined bowling and sharp fielding from RCB. Lauren Bell and Sayali Satghare were particularly impressive, striking at important moments to keep the scoring in check.
In reply, RCB chased down the target with authority, reaching 169/2 in 18.2 overs. After an early wicket, captain Smriti Mandhana took complete control of the innings. She found an excellent partner in Georgia Voll, and the duo stitched together a match-winning partnership that took the game away from Delhi. Their calm approach ensured RCB never felt scoreboard pressure.
Mandhana played with elegance and intent, while Voll provided perfect support with sensible stroke play and strike rotation. The chase was wrapped up comfortably, sealing an emphatic eight-wicket victory and underlining RCB’s dominance in both departments.
