Amelia Kerr, the ICC T20 Cricketer of the Year 2024, has been a star performer for Mumbai Indians in the Women’s Premier League. Representing one of the most iconic teams, the 24-year-old has consistently delivered impressive performances for MI. Throughout her WPL career, she has amassed 394 runs in 22 matches and taken 26 wickets, showcasing her exceptional all-round skills.

Amidst the WPL 2025, Mumbai Indians posted a fun video on their social media handles, where Kerr took on a unique challenge given by the popular actress, Mithila Palkar. The challenge was to hail an auto-rickshaw in Mumbai, a city known for its fast-paced life.
Kerr’s initial attempts were met with failure, as she tried to stop rickshaws using polite phrases like “Bhaiya Bandra?” and “Bhaiya Please.” Mithila teased her saying, “It’s not that easy.”
However, she tried again, this time using local Mumbai language and saying, “Dada Maajhi Match Aahe”(It’s my match), and pulled out the cricket trump card that finally persuaded a rickshaw driver to stop.
Kerr quickly sat inside the rickshaw, where she was soon joined by Mithila, who appreciated her for winning the challenge. The video provided a light-hearted and entertaining break from the thrilling WPL action and showed Kerr’s fun and adventurous side.
Mumbai Indians is currently second on the points table, with two wins in WPL 2025. As they prepare for their next match against Warriorz tomorrow, fans will be eagerly watching to see if Kerr can bring her winning charm to the field once again, and steer MI to their third victory of the season.
