In the 2025 season opener, against Gujarat, Perry played a crucial role in the team’s chase of 202, scoring an invaluable 57(34). Walking in at a precarious 13-1, Perry took the charge and ensured that stability was maintained whilst she was out in the middle. Her knock was studded with six fours and two sixes, propelling RCB to a comfortable position in the chase.

RCB’s second match had Ellyse Perry end her game on a 7 not out, scoring the winning runs as her captain, Smriti Mandhana broke the back of the chase against Delhi Capitals with a fiery 81.

Perry stood tall as a lone warrior, single handedly keeping her team’s hopes alive yet again, this time against Delhi Capitals, with a scintillating 81 off 43 deliveries, striking at an impressive 188.37. As wickets fell around her like matchsticks, she fought valiantly, scoring almost 50% of her sides’ total. The knock propelled her past the 700-run-milestone in WPL, making her the second player after Meg Lanning to achieve this feat.

In RCB’s most recent outing in the 2025 season, against UP Warriorz, Perry once again demonstrated why she is regarded as the team’s saviour. Coming to bat in a spot of bother after losing her captain early, Perry made her highest score in WPL history of a 90 not out. Her masterclass innings, laced by 9 fours and 3 sixes helped RCB post a formidable total of 180.

After Ellyse Perry’s stunning WPL-best 90*, RCB’s Shreyanka Patil captured fan emotions perfectly, hailing Perry as the GOAT in a video shared by RCBTweets on X. She said, “They call her (Ellyse Perry) G.O.AT. for a reason… When we were not in such a great position in the powerplay, she came, she showed what she can do, that’s why she is a legend, a true legend.”

This knock not only marked her highest score of the tournament but catapulted her to the top of the run-scoring charts, making her the highest run-scorer of the tournament and the first player to score 800 runs in WPL. She is also the current orange cap holder.

As the Ellyse Perry wave takes over Bengaluru, RCB fans will be eagerly anticipating more electrifying performances from their star performer. With Perry’s incredible form, hopes are high that she will help RCB in defending their title, bringing home another trophy for the franchise.
