The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is not just about intense competition—it’s also filled with moments of joy and humor. A perfect example of this came when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) players were asked a quirky question, “What would you do if you were made the Prime Minister of India for a day?”

Captain Smriti Mandhana set the tone with her playful reply: “I would get rid of taxes. I know it’s controversial, but the whole country would love me, and I would become the Prime Minister again and again.”
Shreyanka Patil joined in, adding a creative twist: “I would create a Cricket Day, similar to Yoga Day, and make it a national holiday.”
Kanika Ahuja kept the mood light with her cheeky response: “I would steal all the money and run away to another country,” sparking laughter among her teammates. On the other hand, Prema Rawat took a more thoughtful approach: “I would give jobs to all my friends outside cricket who are currently unemployed.”
Following her captain’s lead, Raghvi Bisht echoed the tax-free dream, saying: “I would make India a tax-free country.” Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh kept it practical: “Everyone will get a leave because one day is not enough to make a difference.”
Renuka Singh Thakur, known for her sharp sense of humor, quipped: “People will not believe I am the Prime Minister,” before admitting with a smile: “I will enjoy the power.” S. Meghana kept it straightforward: “I would just enjoy.”
Ekta Bisht, however, showed her compassionate side: “I would do something for all the street animals.” Finally, Jagravi Pawar wrapped things up with a homely note: “I would go home every day and eat dal bhaat.”
Beyond these lighthearted moments, deafening champions RCB’s journey in the 2025 WPL has been nothing short of spectacular. They started strong with a record-breaking chase against the Gujarat Giants.
Skipper Smriti Mandhana has been a force to reckon with, smashing the fastest WPL fifty in just 27 balls, starring with a sublime 81 in their 2nd season win. With consistent performances and unrelenting determination, RCB is firmly on track to defend their title. After their defeat to Mumbai Indians in their most recent game, the team is determined to put up a strong performance against UP Warriorz, on February 24.
