Ghosh played the aggressor in the innings supported by Kanika Ahuja. Losing Perry right after she came into bat, Ghosh was put in a spot of bother, her team’s hopes riding on her and a mammoth target to chase.

Yet the 21-year-old wicket-keeper batter sealed off a memorable victory, remaining unbeaten on 64*(27), with a whopping strike rate of 237.04. Ghosh took the opposing bowlers to the cleaners finishing the game in style with 9 balls to spare. Not to forget, the handy and mature knock by Anuja, 30* off 13, has also rightly garnered a lot of praise.

Ghosh’s innings has created a frenzy on social media, activating the large RCB fanbase. Fans have gone as far as calling Ghosh the greatest wicket-keeper batter India has ever produced. Her mammoth sixes have made fans go as far as comparing her to “The Hulk”.

With Ghosh ending the innings by completing the highest ever run chase in WPL history, the RCB fandom has rated her as the third best buy by the franchise after Virat Kohli and Yuzi Chahal. Her power hitting abilities allows the reigning champions to add their name to yet another record.
