Veda Krishnamurthy made her international debut at 18 she scored an impressive 51 runs in her first ODI against England women in June 2011 raised in a small town in Karnataka she started playing cricket at a young age receiving formal training at the Karnataka Institute of Cricket.
Krishnamurthy’s talent has also been recognized in the 20 leagues becoming the third Indian cricketer to play in the WBBL, she secured a deal with the Hobart Hurricanes for the WBBL showcasing her skills on the global stage additionally, she has been part of India’s squads for major ICC tournaments including the 2018 ICC Women’s World twenty 20 and the 2020 ICC Women’s World twenty 20 world cup.
In December 2023, Krishnamurthy added another feather to her cap by being signed by the Gujarat Giants at the WPL auction for the 2024 season further solidifying her status as a prominent figure in Indian cricket throughout her career Krishnamurthy’s dedication versatility and leadership have made her a respected figure in the cricketing world.
