S Yashashri was a part of the India Women U-19 winning squad. She got this opportunity when Hurley Gala picked up an injury and she replaced her position in the team. However, her performance in the T20 U-19 World Cup against Scotland saw her go wicketless in her solitary appearance.
Yashashri’s potential didn’t go unrecognized in the bilateral U-19 series against South Africa, she proved her skill with the ball, claiming four wickets across two games with an impressive economy of 6.33. She went on to secure a contract worth INR 10 lakhs from UP Warriorz in the Women’s Premier League 2023 auction. In her only WPL game against Delhi Capital women, she managed to secure one wicket further highlighting her capability to deliver on the big stage.
