Excitement is building among cricket enthusiasts as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for the highly anticipated Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2nd Edition. This edition promises to be a thrilling display of women’s cricket talent, and the schedule reveals that the tournament will unfold across the cricketing hubs of Bengaluru and Delhi. The Inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League got underway on 4th March 2023 and concluded on 26th March 2023. The Inaugural edition of the league turned out to be a blockbuster. The league attracted many new fans and viewers to the women’s game.
As reported earlier the venues for the 2nd Edition of WPL will be Bengaluru and Delhi. The tournament will be played from 23rd February and the Final to be played on 17th March. As cricket fans eagerly awaited news about the upcoming WPL, the BCCI has delivered by unveiling the tournament’s schedule and venues. The decision to host the WPL in two of India’s prominent cricketing cities – Bengaluru and Delhi – is expected to add to the grandeur of the event.
The success of the inaugural edition of the league made a positive impact on the senior women’s cricket team as the young girls who came in through the WPL displayed impressive composure and skills to handle the pressure on the big stage.
There were several unanswered questions ahead of the 2nd edition of the Women’s Premier League. There were several rumors regarding the possibility of the upcoming edition being held in a home-and-away format was one them. However, we now have clarity on the schedule and the venues for the 2nd edition of the Women’s Premier League.
The 2nd edition of the Women’s Premier League is set to commence on 23rd February 2024 and conclude on 17th March 2024. The first half of the tournament will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Banglore and the 2nd half of the season will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi including the knockout stages, the Eliminator, and the Final on 17th March 2024.

The finalists of the Inaugural edition of the WPL Mumbai Indians led by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and the Delhi Capitals led by skipper Meg Lanning will kickstart the 2nd edition of the WPL on 23rd February 2024.
