Other than Javeria Khan, Sana Mir, Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar are the other three players from Pakistan who have already completed hundred T20 International matches.

This milestone was accomplished when the right-handed batter captained the match against South Africa in the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup. Javeria had been appointed as the skipper in the absence of Bismah Maroof in the tournament who is ruled out owing to a thumb injury. In her hundredth appearance, she scored 31 runs in 34 balls. The 31-year-old, however, failed to take the team to the victory stand. However, the results could have been different if Khan had not been run out by bowler Chloe Tryon, in an unfortunate manner.

In this match, South Africa won against Pakistan by 17 runs. Pakistan was restricted to 119 for 5, while South Africa scored 136 runs in their innings. In this must-win match, Laura Wolvaardt received the player of the match for her contribution of 53 runs in 36 balls.

With this victory, South Africa is qualified and has fixed a spot for semi-finals in the tournament.
