Sachin Tendulkar believes that Indian Women’s Cricket team has created a huge Impact

God of Cricket- Sachin Tendulkar believes that 2017 World Cup in England was a game-changer for women’s cricket in India and since then the growth has only been increasing. He is confident of the Women in Blue showcasing their best in the upcoming World Cup.

He says the ICC event is not just about winning but on a bigger picture it will be the catalyst in Women’s sport worldwide. He wished the Indian Women’s Cricket team for the same.

He said ‘’They have already had a huge impact, if you see even in 2017, I was watching the finals of the World Cup, which took place at Lords and India did well. We were there till the end, just in the last I thought, that the momentum shifted. But from the impact point of view, they have had a massive impact and then there are young girls in India who are picking up a cricket bat or ball, they are being motivated by these players”, Tendulkar said in a video posted by International Cricket Council.

‘’To have the T20 World Cup here in Australia and finals being played at the MCG, I’m looking forward to it as well and wishing all the best to all the teams, mostly India. I am sure it will produce some exciting cricket and the quality will be appreciated by everyone,” he added.

Women in Blue have come a long way and there’s no looking back. People now recognize them for their game and stadiums get filled with spectators. The side has some exciting youngsters in the World Cup squad like Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh, it makes a perfect balance in the team along with experience.

World cup will commence from 21st February and the final will be played on the eve of International Women’s Day on 8th March in MCG. Tournament opener will be played in between the title defenders Australia and India.
