Tayla Vlaeminck

The 27-year-old speedster returned to action after overcoming yet another injury setback. Chloe Ainsworth

The 21-year-old promising bowling all-rounder has improved her batting in leaps and bounds in recent times. In the WBBL, she has picked up 40 wickets at an average of 22.30 and an economy of 6.96 in 36 innings and matches with the ball representing the Perth Scorchers. She has also scored 149 runs at a strike rate of 104.92 and an average of 13.54 in 18 innings with the bat for her side so far.

Ruby Strange

The 23-year-old promising all-rounder Ruby Strange made a move from Queensland Fire to Western Australia in the ongoing WNCL. She’s already blown away the opposition on a couple of occasions, accounting for 8 wickets in a couple of innings, which also included a 5-wicket haul against Tasmania. However, she is yet to make her mark in the WBBL, representing the Perth Scorchers. She has picked up 4 wickets at an economy of 8.47 in 10 innings with the ball.

Pitch:

It should offer a balanced contest. The surface traditionally provides early movement for seamers, making the new ball a valuable weapon, while batters can play with greater freedom once they negotiate the initial phase. The pitch is expected to settle as the game progresses.

Weather:

Blacktown International Sports Park faces a hot, cloudy Monday, with temperatures peaking at 35–36°C (93–96°F) before dipping to 14–15°C overnight. Late showers or a possible thunderstorm could disrupt play, adding moisture that may assist the seamers.

Fantasy Playing XI:

Deandra Dottin, Hayley Matthews, Courtney Webb, Amy Edgar, Sophie Molineux, Georgia Wareham, Chloe Ainsworth, Tayla Vlaeminck, Ruby Strange, Milly Illingworth, Lilly Mills
