The domestic season for women cricketers in the Caribbean gets underway on May 8, 2023, with the Women’s Super50 Cup and will be followed by the Women’s T20 Blaze, both scheduled to be played in St. Kitts.


For the curtain-raiser of the Women’s Super50 Cup, the Windward Islands and Guyana are set to lock horns at the Conaree Cricket Centre on the 8th of May, 2023, at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

Afy Fletcher

The 36-year-old in One-Day Internationals (ODIs), in 56 innings with the ball has struck 74 wickets at an economy rate of 4.06 and has got the best figures of 4/22. Afy has been handy with the bat as well scoring 310 runs in 46 innings.

Qiana Joseph

The 22-year-old all-rounder, in 8 ODI outings has struck 7 innings with the best of 2/24, and in 8 innings, with the bat has scored 38 runs. Qiana’s most recent outing had come late last year in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (W-CPL).

Shemaine Campbelle

The 30-year-old in ODIs, in 88 innings with the bat has scored 1367 runs, and in 38 innings with the ball has struck 21 times. Shemaine’s recent outings had come during the 02 edition of the FairBreak Invitational in April, where she featured for Barmy Army.

Shabika Gajnabi

The 22-year-old in ODIs, in 13 innings with the bat has accumulated 85 runs and has struck 5 wickets in 6 outings. Shabika’s recent outing had come during the West Indies World Cup campaign, early this year, and consistent starts were all Shabika had managed then.


The 22 yards at the Conaree Cricket Ground are expected to favor the batters, however, there will also be opportunities for the bowlers to make an impact. In the later stages of the game, pacers are likely to benefit from movement, while spinners will play a crucial role during the middle overs.


It will be a pleasant day to be at the Conaree Cricket Centre for some cricket as no rain interruptions and partly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day. The temperature is forecasted to hover around 30°C, with moderate winds and a humidity level of 71%.
