Players to watch out:
Semaema Lomani
The 38-year-old has featured in 15 T20Is, scoring 201 runs, and registered the highest of 43. Semaema departed for a duck in her first outing in this campaign, however, bounced back with a new career-best of 43, and though departed for 4 in her most recent outing, it is hoped she produces another good innings, leading the scoring for her side.
Ilisapeci Waqavakatoga
The 26-year-old all-rounder, in T20Is, from 38 innings has added 391 runs to the tally, and bagged 18 wickets from 20 innings, with respective bests of 43 and 4/11. Though Ilisapeci hasn’t scored many runs in this campaign, she has bagged 4 wickets in 2 outings. It’ll be hoped she continues in this bowling form, while also adding handy runs lower down the order.
Alex Smith
The 17-year-old, from 20 T20Is, has tallied 314 runs and secured 10 wickets, with bests of 64 and 2/14. Alex has struggled for runs in this campaign, departing for 2, 6, and 2, and in her only bowling outing returned figures of 0/26 (4). The dip in form of the Philippines’ leading run-scorer has hurt their chances, and it will be hoped that she finishes off on a high.
Karri Gullem Keen
The 21-year-old, from 11 T20I outings, has scalped 17 wickets, at an average of 12.47, and an economy rate of 5.17. In this campaign, she has taken a wicket and managed starts of 15 and 19. She is a highly promising up-and-coming talent, and it’ll be expected of her that she carries this momentum into the knockouts, producing the goods.
