The Shewta Sehrawat-led South Delhi Superstarz got the opportunity to bat first. Simran Bahadur got the East Delhi Riders off to an ideal start by dismissing Priya Punia in the first over of the innings to provide the 1st breakthrough for her side. Tanisha Singh joined the wicket-keeper batter, Nishika Singh, at the crease and the duo led the recovery with a much-needed 72-run stand for the 2nd wicket.

Skipper Parunika Sisodia landed a double blow by dismissing both the set batters, Tanisha Singh (40 off 27 balls) and the wicket-keeper batter Nishika Singh (29 off 26 balls), back to the pavilion in the 10th over of the innings to bring her side back into the contest. Tanishqa Singh joined skipper Shweta Sehrawat at the crease, and the pair took them past the 100-run mark with another vital 23-run stand for the 4th wicket.

Bharti Rawal broke the stand by sending Tanishqa Singh (10 off 10 balls) back to the pavilion in the 13th over of the innings to provide the 4th breakthrough for the East Delhi Riders. The Superstarz, particularly skipper Shweta Sehrawat, single-handedly capitalised on the solid platform laid by the top-order and guided her side to an imposing total of 179/6 in their quota of 20 overs, scoring 78 runs in the last 7 overs at a rate of over 11 runs an over. Skipper Shweta Sehrawat stayed unbeaten on 75 (36 balls). Her knock included 8 boundaries and 4 maximums.

Skipper Parunika Sisodia (4-0-23-2), Bharti Rawal (4-0-34-1) and Simran Bahadur (4-0-41-1) were impressive with the ball for the East Delhi Riders.

Chasing a mountainous total of 180, the East Delhi Riders struggled to sustain the momentum required to keep the asking rate under control. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals; as a result, the Riders were restricted to 119/8 in their quota of 20 overs, falling 60 runs short of the target. The 31-run stand for the 4th wicket between Purva Siwach (25 off 19 balls) and Simran Bahadur (25 off 20 balls) was the highest partnership of the run chase.

The wicket-keeper batter Pragya Rawat (20 off 26 balls) and Urvashi Gupta (10 off 6 balls) were the only other batters to enter the double digits with the bat for the East Delhi Riders. Disha Nagar (4-0-25-3), Himakshi Chaudhary (3-0-20-2), Kashish (3-0-16-1), and Mayuri Singh (3-0-12-1) were the top performers with the ball for the South Delhi Superstarz.

Skipper Shweta Sehrawat, courtesy of an unbeaten half-century at a strike rate of over 200, played a massive role in setting up a massive net run-rate-boosting win for her side, as the South Delhi Superstarz reclaim the top spot in the points table with 6 points from 4 games.
