Players to watch out for
Sidra Ameen:
The right-handed opening batter scored a delectable century against Bangladesh in her last outing. However, her century went in vain as Pakistan lost the match by nine runs. With that century, she is the only player from Pakistan to register a century in the Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Nashra Sandhu:
The left arm spinner of Pakistan was the pick of the bowlers in her last game against Bangladesh when she scalped 3-41 in her 10 overs. The wily spinner is a genuine wicket-taker and will be the key to Pakistan’s success in the upcoming matches.
Hayley Matthews:
The star West Indian all-rounder won the player of the match in her last outing against Bangladesh. The right-arm off-spinner wreaked havoc with the ball picking up 4-15 in her 10 overs, including one maiden. It was also her career-best bowling figure. With the bat, the right-handed opening batter scored 18 runs.
Shemaine Campbelle:
The wicket-keeper-bat from West Indies scored a brilliant half-century against Bangladesh to help her side post a decent total of 9-140 in 50 overs. She was the lone warrior in the fight as she saw wickets crumbling all around her.
