She currently holds the record for the fastest double-century in test cricket. On 16th February 2024, she registered her maiden double-hundred against South Africa in 248 balls at the WACA in Perth. She walked into the crease with Australia at 167/4 in the 35th over of the inning and put Australia in a well-commanding position in the test match extending the 1st innings lead near 300 and continuing along with different partners at the other end. Her contribution helped Australia end at a total of 575 giving them a lead of 499. It is also the highest team total in a Women’s Test match alongside the highest lead.

KAREN ROLTON

In a breathtaking display of batting prowess at Headingley Cricket Ground, Leeds, in 2001, Karen scored her double century in 306 balls in the second innings against England. Rolton ended up at an unbeaten 213 against England. Her knock of 209 not out came at a quick pace as she scored at a strike rate of 66.77, hitting 29 boundaries and a six. She faced 313 balls in her 361-minute innings putting Australia at a total of 383. This knock not only showcased her exceptional skill but also her remarkable endurance

On 24th June 2023, the seasoned wicket-keeper and opening batter from England achieved a monumental milestone becoming the first ever to score a double hundred for England in the red-ball format in 317 balls. Australia set a formidable total of 473 runs in the first innings, England responded emphatically, with the masterclass innings of opening batter Tammy Beaumont, who amassed an extraordinary 208 runs from 331 balls. Despite England’s valiant effort to narrow the first-innings difference to a mere 10 runs, they ultimately suffered an 89-run defeat. Nevertheless, Beaumont’s historic achievement will forever be remembered as a testament to her prowess and resilience on the cricketing stage.

MICHELLE GOSZKO

She registered her double hundred in 343 balls against England on her test debut and piled up to a total of 204 runs in the second innings at Denis Compton Oval, Shenley, in 2001. Goszko’s 345-ball innings had 24 boundaries over 395 minutes at the crease. She walked to the crease when Australia was 2 wickets down with 21 runs on board. Her remarkable performance significantly contributed to Australia’s 344-run establishing a 241-run lead which eventually resulted in an inning and 140 runs victory.

ELLYSE PERRY

She registered her double century in 371 balls, At North Sydney Oval, Sydney, in 2017, she made history with an unbeaten 213 against England, the highest-ever test score by an Australian woman cricketer. Perry’s innings, lasting 412 minutes, featured 26 boundaries and six off 374 deliveries helped Australia put a massive total of 448 in the first innings itself, showcasing her exceptional talent and technique. The match ultimately ended in a draw, with England’s second innings total of 208 for 2 wickets denying Australia the opportunity to bat again.
