No Batsman can achieve any success in the game of cricket without a partner. Be it taking off pressure, rotating strike, or playing a supporting role, a partner is a very integral part of batting.

The following are the highest partnerships in T20 cricket:

1. Yulia Anggraeni and Kadek Winda Prastini (257 Runs)

Indonesian opening duo Yulia Anggraeni and Kadek Winda Prastini broke the record for the highest partnership in T20 cricket after their astounding performance against the Philippines in 2019. Indonesia won the toss and chose to bat, both the openers gave their team a brilliant start with their partnership of 257 runs out of which Anggraeni scored 112 runs in only 68 balls. Prastini made a score of 89 which allowed Indonesia to score a total of 260 which is the third-highest total in T20 history. Indonesia bowled out the Philippines for just 78 runs giving them a comfortable 182 run victory.

Bangladeshi duo Nigar Sultana and Fargana Hoque have the second-highest partnership in women’s T20. They achieved this record after their splendid performance against the Maldives in the South Asian Games Women’s Cricket Competition match. After the fall of the first two wickets. The batting duo put up an amazing partnership of 236 in which Sultana scored 113 runs and Hoque registered a score of 110 runs in only 53 balls. Bangladesh bowled the Maldives out for a low total of 6 runs, winning the match convincingly by 249 runs.

3. Prosscovia Alako and Rita Musamali (227 Runs)

Ugandan pair Prosscovia Alako and Rita Musamali occupy the third spot on the list for the highest partnerships in T20 cricket. This came after their impressive performance against Mali in the Kwibuka Women’s Twenty20 Tournament match, where they made a partnership of 227 runs. Alako contributed 116 runs to the partnership while Musamali scored a quickfire 103 runs. The duo’s partnership led the team to the highest total in T20 history, a monstrous 314.

4. Fatuma Kibasu and Neema Pius (183 Runs)

Tanzanian women Fatuma Kibasu and Neema Pius are fourth on the list for the highest partnerships in T20 cricket. The opening amassed an incredible 183 run partnership. Kibasu scored a motivating 108 runs from 71 balls and Pius continued the wrath with her 65 runs in 47 balls. With the help of their partnership, Tanzania recorded the second-highest T20 total of 285 and went on to win the match by 268 runs.

5. Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine (182 Runs)

New Zealand skipper Suzie Bates and partner Sophie Devine hold the fifth position in the highest T20 partnerships. They accomplished this Tri-Nation T20 Women’s Series match against South Africa. The opening duo managed to score a combined 182 runs. Out of which captain Bates scored a blistering 124 off just 66 balls and Devine supported her with a steady 73 runs. With the help of the opening partnership, the White Ferns managed to put up a total of 216 which the South African team were unable to chase down.
