After winning the toss, Toronto Sixers decided to field first, a choice that initially seemed wise as Thunderbirds struggled to find momentum. Despite a few strong performances, Vancouver could only muster a total of 75 for 9 in their 10 overs.

Ailsa Lister stood out with a brisk 19 runs off 13 balls, including 2 fours and a six, providing some much-needed stability in the middle overs. Achini Perera also contributed with 12 runs off 7 balls, giving an early push, while Ritu Singh added 17* off 14 balls to help nudge the team past 70. Wides and no-balls contributed 9 runs to their total.

On the bowling front, Krima Kapadia was impressive for the Sixers, securing 2 wickets for just 11 runs in her two overs. Deandra Dottin (2) also was among the wickets, and both Saachi Dhadwal (2) and Xara Jetly (1) took crucial scalps, preventing Thunderbirds from building any significant momentum.

In their chase of 76 runs, the Sixers struggled against disciplined bowling from Thunderbirds and ultimately fell short, being bowled out for 51 in 10 overs. Wickets tumbled regularly, starting with the early dismissal of Deandra Dottin, who was lbw to Vandana Mahajan for 6 runs.

Sterre Kalis managed 4 runs off 5 balls, and Habeeba Bader added 6 from 13, as the team continued to collapse. Amarpal Kaur was the standout performer for the Sixers, top-scoring with 16 runs off 18 balls, while Sindhu Sriharsha (5* off 3) and Zeel Patel (2* off 3) were left stranded at the end.

Vandana Mahajan was economical for Thunderbirds, taking one wicket and giving away just 11 runs in her two overs, and so were the rest; Indomatie Goordial-John (1/7 off 2), Isani Vaghela (1/8 off 2), Amanda Wellington (1/9 off 2) and Tiffany Thorpe (1/7 off 1) each bagged a wicket, maintaining tight lines throughout the innings.

Although the Sixers restricted Thunderbirds to a low score, their own batting collapse was ultimately their undoing. With this victory, the 3-match tournament is leveled at 1-1, setting up the decider, scheduled for the 12th of October 2025, starting 3:00 AM Indian Standard Time (IST).
