Players to watch out:
Vishmi Gunarathne

Against the West Indies in a 3-match T20I series on home soil, Vishmi registered scores of 35, 24, and 2. Continuing on the momentum, she kicked off this Asia Cup campaign with a solid 51, and though she departed for 1 in the subsequent game, she scored a fine 39* in her most recent game. She can be counted on for another good knock.
Shashini Gimhani
The 15-year-old left-arm wrist-spinner, from 4 T20Is, has scalped 5 wickets, including a best of 3/9, at an average of 11.80 and an economy rate of 4.91. Shashini made her international debut in May 2024 against Uganda, returning figures of 2/23, and followed up with figures of 0/17 (3) and 0/10 (1) in that campaign. In her only outing in this Asia Cup, she returned figures of 3/9 (4), and given another opportunity, she can be banked upon for another good spell.
Nida Dar
The 37-year-old all-rounder, in T20Is, has amassed 1941 runs from 133 innings, while from 144 bowling outings, she has picked up 141 wickets, maintaining an economy rate of 5.67, and registering bests of 75 and 5/21. Nida picked up 5 wickets from 3 T20Is in her most recent campaign, and while she has underperformed in this campaign, with figures of 0/10 (1) and 1/15 (2), it is hoped she will step up her efforts, delivering the goods with both bat and ball.
Nashra Sandhu
The 26-year-old left-arm off-spinner, maintaining an economy rate of 5.40, has bagged 58 wickets from as many T20Is and registered the best of 4/18. Nashra has been in outstanding form in this Asia Cup campaign, producing consecutive figures of 1/20 (4), 0/14 (4), and 2/22 (4). She has been both effective and economical, and given her form, she can be relied upon for breakthroughs, leading the wickets tally.
