Nigar Sultana 48* (Bangladesh):
The Bangladesh skipper came into bat when her team had lost their second wicket in the first over with just 6 on the board. The right-handed batter didn’t receive much support from the other batters apart from a 48-run partnership with Shorna Akter, who was dismissed for 25. Nigar Sultana smashed six boundaries in her unbeaten knock of 48, providing the finishing touch for Bangladesh by scoring 2 boundaries in the last over, helping them post a fighting total of 111.

Vishmi Gunaratne 51 (Sri Lanka):
The Lankan opener scored her third T20I fifty, making 51 against Bangladesh in Sri Lanka’s first Women’s Asia Cup match this season. Chasing a total of 112, the right-handed batter attacked the Bangladeshi spinners effectively. Her classy reverse sweeps contributed to the majority of her boundaries. Her innings, which included seven boundaries and one six, helped the Islanders chase down the target of 112 comfortably.

Nahida Akter 3/10 (Bangladesh):
The left-arm off-spinner displayed an outstanding bowling performance while defending 112 against Sri Lanka, though Bangladesh ultimately lost the match. Nonetheless, Nahida scalped three wickets, including the first wicket of Lankan skipper Chamari Athapaththu for 12. She later dismissed Gunaratne for 51 and Harshita Samarawickrama. All three Sri Lankan wickets were taken by Nahida Akter.
