Bio:

Lauren Cheatle’s career has been a testament to resilience. The left-arm quick bowler faced numerous challenges, including stress fractures, multiple shoulder reconstructions, and a brush with skin cancer that kept her sidelined for four months in 2021. Despite these setbacks, she underwent a fourth shoulder reconstruction and continued to persevere.

Cheatle made her international debut in January 2016. In the domestic circuit, as of 2024, she plays for New South Wales in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL).

In T20 Internationals, Cheatle debuted on January 29, 2016, against India during their tour of Australia in Melbourne. By 2024, she had taken over four wickets in T20Is.

Her One Day International debut came on February 26, 2017, against New Zealand during Australia’s tour of New Zealand in Auckland. She made an impressive start by picking up one wicket in that match. As of 2024, she has taken more than one wicket in ODIs.

Cheatle’s Test debut was on December 21, 2023, against India during Australia’s tour of India at Wankhede. As of 2024, she is yet to take a wicket in Test cricket.

In franchise cricket, Cheatle currently plays for the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). Previously, she played for the Sydney Thunder from the 2015/16 to 2016/17 seasons.
