Bio:

Lea Tahuhu is a fiery pacer from the New Zealand women’s team who made her ODI debut on June 14, 2011, against Australia during the Rose Bowl tournament in Brisbane. Subsequently, she made her first T20 International appearance on June 25, 2011, against India during the NatWest Women’s T20 Quadrangular series in Bristol.

Tahuhu is a reliable player with great experience at the international level. She was awarded a central contract by New Zealand Cricket in August 2018. Tahuhu played a key role in the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup, where she impressed everyone with her bowling performance. She was also part of the New Zealand squad that won the Bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. In August 2021, she made her comeback to the New Zealand squad after 18 months for the limited-overs series against England, as she had been diagnosed with a mole on her left foot. It was in this series that Tahuhu took her first five-wicket haul in WODI cricket.

Tahuhu has experienced cricket around the world through different leagues. She has been a part of the WBBL in Australia with the Melbourne Renegades and the Sydney Thunder, and in The Hundred, she has represented the Manchester Originals. She has also featured for the Canterbury Women, Gujarat Giants Women, Super Women, Supernovas in different leagues.
