Henriette Ishimwe, born on October 14, 2003, is an all-rounder cricketer representing Rwanda on the international stage. She made her debut at 15 years old on January 26, 2019, against Nigeria during the Rwanda tour of Nigeria at Abuja. In her impressive debut, she picked a solitary wicket.
Since her debut, Ishimwe has featured in 81 T20 International matches, the most by any player on the Rwanda women’s team. With the bat, she has accumulated a total of 801 runs. As for her bowling performance, she has collected 88 wickets, holding the record for the most wickets for the Rwanda women’s team. Her highest score is 49*(36), achieved against Kenya during the Kwibuka Women’s Twenty20 Tournament on June 11, 2023, at Kigali, for which she received the Player of the Match award. Meanwhile, her best bowling figure is 5/6, achieved against Cameroon during the Nigeria Cricket Federation Women’s T20I Tournament on March 31, 2023, at Lagos. With this, she is the only player from the Rwanda women’s team to take a fifer.
