Gisele Ishimwe, born on September 09, 2004, is an all-rounder cricketer representing Rwanda on the international stage. She made her debut at 14 years old on January 26, 2019, against Nigeria during Rwanda’s tour of Nigeria at Abuja. Since her debut, Ishimwe has featured in 73 T20 International matches, amassing a total of 1,178 runs and collecting 14 wickets.
She currently holds the record for the most runs for the Rwanda women’s team. Her highest score is 114* (69), achieved against Eswatini during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier on September 12, 2021, at Gaborone (Oval 1). For this performance, she received the Player of the Match award. Her best bowling figure is 2/2, achieved against Ghana during the Nigeria Cricket Federation Women’s T20I Tournament on March 27, 2023, at Lagos.
