Bio:
Qiana Joseph, a young cricket player from Saint Lucia, her cricketing journey began at a young age of 16, representing the Windward Islands and Barbados Royals domestically. Qiana’s dedication was rewarded in May 2017 with a call-up to the West Indies squad for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. Stepping onto the field at Leicester on July 2nd, 2017, against South Africa, Qiana marked a significant moment, her WODI debut.
While Qiana featured in the World Cup squad, her next international appearance would not come for a while. However, her talent did not go unnoticed. In November 2018, she received a call-up as an injury replacement for the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 tournament held in the West Indies.
Finally, in May 2021, Qiana’s talent was further recognized with a central contract from Cricket West Indies. This was followed by a string of successful domestic tournaments, including the Women’s Super50 Cup and the Women’s T20 Blaze, where she impressed with eight wickets in five appearances. August 2021 marked another milestone – her WT20I debut against South Africa.
Her ability to bounce back and consistently deliver strong performances has earned her a well-deserved place in the West Indies squad.
