Sturge will return to Glamorgan after an impressive loan spell during the 2026 campaign. A wicketkeeper-batter, she can also bowl valuable overs and give the side another option during matches. She made an immediate impression during her loan period, contributing with both the bat and gloves. In the middle order, she produced mature innings, while her work behind the stumps was sharp and dependable. Her versatility, competitive approach and development over the summer helped make her a standout target. Glamorgan have her as part of their longer-term plans.

Harman arrives at Glamorgan after a strong 2026 season that saw her represent Hampshire in Tier One and the Sussex Sharks in Tier Two on loan. The right-arm leg-break bowler was a consistent threat with her leg-spin throughout the summer. Glamorgan’s coaching staff were particularly impressed with her control, variation and ability to take wickets when they mattered most. Her addition gives the Club greater depth in its developing spin department. Harman also brings experience from playing at different levels. She will add another useful skill set to Glamorgan’s newly formed squad.

Bringing the two players into the group is part of Glamorgan’s continued investment in their women’s programme. The Club wants to create a competitive and sustainable setup while giving young players the opportunity to grow. Sturge and Harman have already demonstrated that they can perform at both Tier One and Tier Two level. Their different abilities can give Glamorgan more balance and options as the squad develops. Sturge can contribute as a batter, wicketkeeper, bowler and fielder, while Harman strengthens the spin department. Both players will now form part of Glamorgan’s Tier 1 plans for the 2027 season.

Glamorgan’s Head of Women & Girls Cricket, Aimee Rees, spoke about the additions and Sturge’s contribution during her loan spell. “We are really pleased to have signed Megan and Nancy from Hampshire. Megan has spent time with us on loan this season and has played a significant role in the success we have enjoyed across both T20 and 50-over cricket. Megan has brought huge energy and enthusiasm to the group and is a 4-dimensional cricketer. It is rare to find a player who can contribute across so many areas of the game. Megan is a batter who can keep wicket, bowl and is an excellent fielder. Her all-round skill set will be a real asset to our Tier 1 squad.”

Rees also outlined what Harman can offer and welcomed the experience both players bring to the newly formed squad. “Nancy is a dynamic and explosive batter who can score quickly and put pressure on opposition bowling attacks. She also brings valuable experience from playing in the first edition of The Hundred, and we are looking forward to seeing her take on that aggressive role within our Glamorgan team. Both players bring invaluable Tier 1 and leadership experience to our newly formed squad, and we are delighted to have them on board. We are excited to see the contribution they can make both on and off the field as we continue to build our Tier 1 squad.”
