Bangladesh Announce 16-Member Squad for Australia ODIs, Nigar Sultana Joty to Lead

Bangladesh have announced a 16-member squad for their upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, with Nigar Sultana Joty set to lead the side. Spinner Nahida Akter has been named vice-captain for the series. The squad is largely unchanged from the group that featured in the Women’s Asia Cup and the Asian Games in Japan earlier this month. Bangladesh will now prepare for three matches in Brisbane against Australia. The tour will give the players an opportunity to test themselves in challenging away conditions. The series will also be an important test for Bangladesh as they take their recent form into a difficult assignment away from home against Australia this month.

The squad continues to have a mix of familiar names and younger players from Bangladesh’s recent campaigns. With the group now confirmed, the players can focus on preparing for the three ODIs. The matches will provide an important opportunity to compete away from home. Bangladesh will look to make the most of the conditions and the challenge ahead.
