Turner had a prolific season for the Club in 2025 as she established herself as one of the most efficient bowling all-rounders in domestic cricket. Her seam bowling has been quite effective in tournaments, and her ability to pick wickets is highly rated. She was also impressive with the bat as she has good technical ability to hold the innings and can accelerate when required as well.

“I’m really excited, I think for me this is the place I want to play at, and I’ve really thrived in this environment. The coaches have been amazing, and the girls have been great too. All we want to do is bring some silverware up to the North East.

“I’ve absolutely loved it here and can’t wait to get going in the 2026 season. The environment here is amazing; I speak very highly of Durham away from here as well. I absolutely love playing at Chester-le-Street, and calling this ground my home ground is a really cool feeling,” said Phoebe Turner on extending her deal with Durham.

Phoebe Turner had an excellent season in the ECB Women’s One-Day Cup 2025 as she proved her worth with her ability to contribute with both bat and ball. She had picked up 22 wickets from 13 innings at an economy rate of 5.16.

Her best bowling figures came against Essex Women, as she picked up 4 wickets and gave away just 33 runs in her spell. She also scored 159 runs from 13 innings at an average of 15. She wasn’t at the top of her game with the bat, but she was able to score some handy runs. She also claimed her T20 best figures against the Hampshire Hawks in the T20 Blast, as she had picked up 3 wickets for just 17 runs.

“It’s fantastic news that Phoebe has committed to Durham Cricket for at least another two years. Phoebe is an exceptionally talented cricketer and has earned this contract extension after another strong season in the domestic game. She is a player with immense potential, something that has already been recognised through her selection for England A and her inclusion in the England performance programme this winter,” said Marcus North, the Director of Cricket at the Club.

With her fine performance in the tournament, she earned a call-up to the England A side and franchise deals with Southern Brave and London Spirit at The Hundred. She performed well on her ODI debut series for England A as she picked up 5 wickets in two appearances. She was also named in England’s 2025/2026 winter Performance Programme.
