Cricket Australia has announced a 14-player Australia Under-19 Women squad for an upcoming tri-series against England Under-19 Women and Sri Lanka Under-19 Women, with the multi-format tournament set to be played in Queensland from March 30- April 18. The series forms a key part of Australia’s high-performance pathway as preparations continue for future ICC Under-19 women’s events.

The squad features a broad mix of emerging talent identified through national championships and state-based development programs. Selectors have prioritised balance and versatility, ensuring coverage across batting depth, pace and spin bowling options, and all-round skill sets. With both 50-over and T20 matches scheduled, the tri-series will test the squad’s adaptability, tactical awareness and ability to perform across different match conditions and formats.
Australia’s Under-19 Women’s Squad Tri-Series:
Ira Aery, Eva Baird, Mia Barwick, Alyssa Dermody, Ava Drury, Ayla Johnson, Shiloh Julien, Aurora Mavros, Indira Panelli, Emily Powell, Chelsea Sonter, Ayaka Stafford, Filippa Suesee, Tegan Williamson
The squad will be led by head coach Kristen Beams, supported by assistant coaches Lisa Keightley and Clive Rose. Former Australia captain Meg Lanning will also join the setup as a development coach, adding significant experience to the program. Lanning captained Australia to multiple ICC titles, including two Women’s ODI World Cups and five Women’s T20 World Cups, and remains Australia’s leading run-scorer in women’s one-day internationals.
The tri-series will be staged across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, using a combination of training venues and recognised cricket grounds. The program begins with a warm-up fixture before transitioning into official 50-over matches, followed by a block of T20 games to conclude the tournament. This structure allows teams to build combinations before being tested in high-intensity short-format cricket.
Australia will begin their campaign with a 50-over warm-up match against England, providing the squad with an opportunity to settle into local conditions. The official one-day fixtures then follow, with Australia scheduled to face both England and Sri Lanka under day-night conditions in Brisbane. The tournament then moves to the Gold Coast for the opening T20 matches before returning to Brisbane for the final games.
The series schedule has been designed to closely mirror international tournament demands, including short turnarounds, travel between venues and exposure to different playing conditions. Performances across the tri-series will play an important role in informing future selection decisions as Australia continues to strengthen its Under-19 women’s pathway.
