Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal has stormed back to the pinnacle of the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings, overtaking Australia’s Annabel Sutherland and India’s Deepti Sharma after a stellar showing in her team’s recent 1-2 series loss to South Africa.

T20I Bowling Rankings

Sadia Iqbal grabbed five wickets across the South Africa series, including a match-winning 3/18 in the series finale, propelling her up two places to No.1. She ended as the joint-highest wicket-taker of the T20I series alongside South Africa’s Ayabonga Khaka. Indian bowlers shone too: Renuka Singh rose six spots to fifth, Arundhati Reddy jumped 19 to equal 16th, and N Sree Charani climbed eight to 39th after the Sydney win. Iqbal’s return to the summit marks her third stint at the top since late 2024.

Ayabonga Khaka from South Africa has climbed up a couple of spots to the 41st position (519 points). Orla Prendergast has climbed up 3 spots to the 42nd position (511 points). Pooja Vastrakar has climbed up a couple of spots to the 44th position (505 points).

Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu (46th position [494 points]), UAE’s Heena Hotchandani (47th position [493 points]), New Zealand’s Jess Kerr, and Thailand’s Onnicha Kamchomphu (49th position [485 points]) have climbed up a couple of spots each. Laura Wolvaardt advanced one place to fourth after scoring 112 runs at a strike rate of 143.58 and an average of 56 in three innings, including a half-century in 3 matches, ending the series as the leading run-scorer for her side and the 2nd highest run-scorer of the T20I series. Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana rocketed 31 positions to equal 28th, boosted by her unbeaten 47 off 30 balls in the final game of the series, earning Player of the Match honours. She ended as the leading run-scorer of the series with 146 runs at a strike rate of 184.81 and an average of 73 in three innings, including a half-century in 3 matches with the bat for her side in the series.

Suzie Bates from New Zealand has climbed up one spot to the 8th position (671 points). The Indian duo of Jemimah Rodrigues and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has climbed up one spot each to the 11th (638 points) and 12th position (634 points), respectively. Phoebe Litchfield from Australia scored 26 runs at a strike rate of 136.84 and an average of 26 in the 1st T20I against India. As a result, she has climbed up one spot to the 17th position (626 points). Ellyse Perry chipped in with a handy cameo (20 runs at a strike rate of 181.81). Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal climbed up one spot to equal the 36th position (111 points) alongside India’s Renuka Singh. Nashra Sandhu from Pakistan climbed up 8 spots to equal the 45th position (99 points) alongside Papua New Guinea’s Henao Thomas and Sri Lanka’s Inoshi Priyasharshani.

South Africa’s all-rounder Annerie Dercksen has earned a massive rise as she has climbed up 30 spots to equal the 71st position (73 points) alongside Qiana Joseph from the West Indies. Rachel Andrew from Vanuatu has climbed up 3 spots to equal the 76th position (69 points) alongside India’s Shafali Verma, who has also climbed up a couple of spots, Australia’s Darcie Brown, and Scotland’s Darcey Carter has climbed up three spots.

The Netherlands’ Robine Rijke and Ireland’s Ava Canning have climbed up 3 spots each to equal the 84th position (64 points) alongside Thailand’s duo of Onnicha Kamchomphu and Sunida Chaturongrattana. Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has climbed up one spot to equal the 92nd position (59 points) alongside Nepal’s Sita Rana Magar, who also climbed up one spot.
