Across the seasons in the history of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), we have seen many standout performers in matches, players winning games single-handedly for their sides. Despite having players that lead the run-scoring charts and the wicket-taking records in a season, the players who matter the most are those who guide their team to title glory. Those players who can contain the pressure of the finals and perform when the team needs in the finals, are the players who will go down as heroes in the tournament’s history. Here are all the Player of the Match award winners across the year:

Natalie Sciver-Brunt – 0/37(4) & 60*(55)
In the final of the 2023 WPL, Mumbai Indians took on Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. The Capitals captain, Meg Lanning had won the toss and chose to bat first. Nat Sciver-Brunt was ineffective with the ball as she went wicketless and leaked 37 runs from her 4 overs, whereas the other bowlers were economical and decisive with the ball. In the second innings, both Mumbai Indians openers were dismissed for low scores and then out came Nat Sciver-Brunt. She scored an unbeaten 60 off 55 balls, including 7 fours and at a strike rate of 109.09. Mumbai Indians won by 7 wickets, with 3 balls to spare, and Nat Sciver-Brunt was named the player of the Match.

Sophie Molineux – 3/20(4)
In the final of the 2024 WPL edition, Delhi Capitals faced Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. The Capitals skipper, Meg Lanning had won the toss and chose to bat first. Lanning and Shafali had put up a magnificent opening partnership of 64 runs from 7 overs and from there it has all been about RCB. Sophie Molineux bowled a phenomenal spell, picking 3 wickets and giving away just 20 runs from 4 overs. She got the big wickets of Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues and Alice Capsey. She also dismissed Radha Yadav with an accurate throw at the bowler’s end. RCB had won by 8 wickets and Sophie Molineux was awarded the Player of the Match for her economical spell, turning the game around for RCB.

Harmanpreet Kaur – 66(44)
In the final of the 2025 WPL, Delhi Capitals took on Mumbai Indians at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. The Capitals skipper, Meg Lanning had won the toss and chose to bowl first. Mumbai Indians had gotten off to a very poor start as they lost 2 wickets for just 14 runs from 4.3 overs. Then came the skipper Harmanpreet Kaur at number 4, scoring 66 off just 44 balls, including 9 fours and 2 sixes and at a strike rate of 150. She set the foundation for a decent total for Mumbai Indians, and they ended up with 149 on board. It turned out to be good enough for Mumbai Indians as they won by 8 runs and Harmanpreet Kaur was named as the Player of the Match.

Smriti Mandhana – 87(41)
In the final of the 2026 WPL, Royal Challengers Bengaluru had taken on Delhi Capitals at the Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara. Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Smriti Mandhana had won the toss and chose to bowl first. The Capitals set a record total of 203 on board for the RCB to chase and it seemed a mountain too high to climb. RCB lost Grace Harris early in the innings but then Georgia Voll (79) and Mandhana took RCB to a solid position from where victory looked relatively easy. Mandhana scored 87 off 41 balls, including 12 fours and 3 sixes and at a strike rate of 212.19. Royal Challengers Bengaluru won by 6 wickets and Smriti Mandhana was named the Player of the Match.
