Ahead of the 2026 edition of The Hundred, MI London Women have completed the signing of the 22-year-old, New Zealand international, Amelia Kerr. The MI London have made some serious signings in this window with the likes of Hayley Matthews, and they seem to be all set in their quest for securing their 3rd title in The Hundred.

Amelia Kerr has scored 324 runs in 19 innings in The Hundred and she has also picked up 25 wickets in the tournament including a 4-wicket haul. She has been a consistent bowler in the tournament and her ability to pick wickets is very highly rated. She also adds flexibility to the squad as she can bat anywhere in the order, and she could be sent at the early stages for some quick runs.
In her T20I career, she has scored 1453 runs from 70 innings and she has also picked up 95 wickets from 86 innings. She is arguably one of the greatest all-rounders in modern day cricket as she can bat deep and take the game away from you, when she’s having her day. In 2018, she became the youngest batter in male or female cricket to score a double hundred in a One Day International.
Batters often find it difficult to pick the spin of Kerr as she is a very crafty bowler who can produce wickets from almost any given situation. Her signing signals MI London’s intent to build a core of global superstars. The addition of Kerr, alongside the West Indian star, Hayley Matthews, a fine all-rounder who can open the innings and chip in a few overs, combined with Kerr, a brilliant leg-spinner and a middle-order batter, provides the team with depth in their batting unit and flexibility overall.
Kerr’s leg-spin is a genuine wicket-taking weapon that adds variety to an attack already featuring high-quality pace and spin options. She has been an outstanding player in franchise cricket across the world, and she has been one of the most demanded players in the game. She has played in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), Women’s Premier League (WPL) and in The Hundred. Her statistics across these premier tournaments speak volumes of her consistent global performance.
In the WBBL, she has scored 1,027 runs from 71 matches and she has picked up 84 wickets as well. She currently plays for the Sydney Sixers and had earlier played for the Brisbane Heat for 5 seasons. In the WPL, where the competition level is arguably the highest, she has scored 490 runs from 34 matches, and she has also picked up 50 wickets in the tournament. She has been a crucial part of the Mumbai Indians ever since, with her ability to consistently pick wickets and to deliver for the side when needed.
MI London will be excited to have her in the team considering her experience in high-stakes franchise tournaments and young age which makes her a valuable asset for the team in the long run as well. Her presence ensures that MI London possesses one of the most well-rounded and strategically flexible squads, making them strong favorites as they head into the 2026 tournament.
