Nepal has been placed in Group B for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers along with Thailand, the Netherlands, Zimbabwe, and Scotland. Nepal will be going into the squad with some additions to the squad from the Asia Region Qualifiers, such as Sita Rana Magar, Kajal Shrestha, Rajana Choudhary and Suman Bista.

The Nepal Women have been in decent form lately, and with the tournament being played at home, they have the upper hand in the qualifiers. Indu Barma, the captain, will have huge challenges up ahead to figure out the right playing XI with some changes in the squad dynamics. Sita Magar will guide the bowling unit with her experience and her ability to pick up crucial wickets in pressure situations.

The Nepal Women topped Group C in the first stage of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers, with just 1 loss from the 4 games that were played. With most of the games having reduced overs, Nepal still managed to put up their best performances. The batting unit was led by the skipper Indu Barma with good contributions all round, along with the support of Rubbina Chettri and Samjhana Khadka with a few decent innings.

Nepal will be the favourites to seal the World Cup spot with so much to play for and to etch their name in the cricketing history of the nation.
