As the confetti settled, the entire squad formed a circle. A hush mixed with excitement fell across the field as Jemimah Rodrigues stepped forward with a smile that spoke a thousand stories. She revealed that the song was kept secret out of a promise made long before the final.

“We decided almost four years ago that we would only reveal our team song when we win the World Cup and tonight is the night,” she said.

Then, almost on cue, the team began to sing revealing their long‑kept secret, their team anthem, for the very first time.

“Team India, Team India,

Karde sabki hawa tight,

Team India is here to fight.

Koi na leta humko light,

Our future is bright.

Chand pe chalenge, sath me uthenge,

Hum hai Team India, hum sath me jitenge.

Na lega koi panga, kar denge hum danga.

Rahega sabse upar, humara tiranga.

Hum hai Team India, hum hai Team India, hum hai Team India”

Each line echoed through the stadium, carrying the unmistakable rhythm of pride and togetherness. The chorus wasn’t just music; it was emotion turned into melody.
