Imesha Dulani is one of the promising young batters in Sri Lanka’s women’s side, noted for her compact technique and potential to grow into a reliable middle-order player. Born on 20 January 2002, she was first named in Sri Lanka’s squad for the 2021 Women’s World Cup Qualifier before making her international debut in April 2023.

She made her ODI debut on 29 April 2023 against Bangladesh. Still in the early stages of her career, Dulani has played 4 ODIs, scoring 26 runs with the best of 11. While her returns so far are modest, her inclusion in multiple squads highlights the faith selectors have in her talent.

Entering her maiden World Cup cycle, Dulani is seen as a developing talent who could add depth and stability to Sri Lanka’s batting in the years to come.
