USA Cricket’s U19 Women’s National Team is all set to embark on a significant developmental tour of the Caribbean, as they face the West Indies U19 Women in a five-match T20 International series from July 22 to August 4 at the Sir Frank Worrell Cricket Ground, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago.
This bilateral tour marks the beginning of preparations for the 2027 ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup and deepens the ongoing partnership between USA Cricket and Cricket West Indies (CWI). It also marks the third series between the two sides in the last four years, after previous encounters in 2022 and 2024.
“This tour is not only a testament to the deepening partnership with Cricket West Indies but also a pivotal step in our long-term preparations for the 2027 ICC U19 Women’s World Cup,” said Johnathan Atkeison, CEO of USA Cricket.
The 14-member USA squad, led by captain Chetna Reddy Pagydyala and vice-captain Pooja Ganesh, features a blend of experienced names and promising newcomers. Notable players include Maahi Madhavan, Taranum Chopra, and Saanvi Immadi—all key contributors from past campaigns who are expected to take on leadership roles both on and off the field.
With many players from the last World Cup cycle aging out, this tour provides a crucial opportunity for the next generation to make their mark. In a promising move, USA Cricket has also included two U15 players from its domestic pathway circuit to gain international exposure—underlining a clear vision for long-term grassroots development.
CWI CEO Chris Dehring expressed enthusiasm about the partnership:

Dehring also hinted at future bilateral engagements with other associate nations as part of a broader push to promote women’s cricket throughout the Americas.
